Abstract

Cleansing device for beverage taps which has at least a reservoir, a tap cock and a pipe between reservoir and cock and incorporates a cleansing fluid feed pipe and a cleaning head connected to it. The head is fitted in the beverage pipe and has a hollow housing containing a displaceable cock with a recess on its outside. The cleansing head also has a double-effect piston which moves in a cylindrical part of the housing. A fluid source is connected to the hollow housing, and the double-effect piston and the cleaning head tap unit form an integral assembly, or central body, hollow and open at the both ends. It is so positioned that the beverage pipe is in contact with the inner edge of the central body, but is always cut off from the inner edge of the cylindrical part of the housing where the piston moves.
