Abstract

The nut divided axially into two halves has a bridging part which holds the two halves together, and can be applied in an axial direction against the direction of traction. This part also locates against a stop fitted on the nut. A cross gap (2) is sufficiently wide to allow the part (1) to be mounted on the bolt also from the side. The gap (2) runs inclined to the parallel surfaces of the bridging part (1). This part (1) can be of sprung construction, with its cross gap slightly narrower than the diameter of the screw bolt. The screw nut has another thread in the region of the part (1), allowing it to be screwed on to it with the aid of its corresponding inner thread (4).
