Abstract

The fixing is used to attach an ice skate to a skating boot and to prevent separation between the two. It comprises a formed metal plate (4) used as an inner surface (7) when moulding the sole (2) and heel (3). This plate is covered internally with a thin lining (9) for comfort in wearing. At the back, formed nuts (8) are fitted through holes, their threaded portions projecting downwards into the thickness of the heel. Long screws or threaded bolts (10) are used to attach the bearing flange of the ice skate heel, these screws passing through the heel thickness and tightening into the formed nuts.
