Abstract

The device comprises a tube connected to a feed pipe and an exit pipe for cooling fluid. The ends of the tube are pref. curved round in opposite directions to each other, to improve the contact of the yarn with the wall of the tube. The device is placed in line with a yarn heater and a texturising spindle. The simple structure of the device provides easy threading up with no need for intermediate thread guides. It may be used in a sequence of treatment operations for texturising yarns.
