Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition de matière et son procédé de fabrication pour donner une apparence incolore à des articles moulés en polycarbonate. La composition comprend environ 40 parts d'anhydride maléique, d'acide maléique, des copolymères de propylène glycol avec l'acide maléique ou l'anhydride maléique, ou des mélanges de ceux-ci, et entre environ 0,5 et 1,5 parts d'un mélange de 10 parts d'acétyle acétonate de cobalt et entre environ 0,4 à 1,2 parts d'acétyle acétonate de cuivre. Entre environ 0,05 et 0,15 parts de ladite composition sont mélangées avec un mélange prépolymère d'un monomère polycarbonate et d'un catalyseur et moulés pour former ledit article L'invention est particulièrement utile dans l'identification du polycarbonate.
