Abstract
The water tank for a closed circuit driving an engine has a rectangular upper section (1) and an inverted pyramid section (2) below this. The tank is filled with water through an opening (3) at the top and has an emptying cock (12) at the bottom. Compressed air is admitted through a connection (4) with a valve (5) at the top to put the water in the tank under pressure. A pipe (6) leading from the bottom of the tank has a valve in it and leads to a jet reaction turbine wheel (8) in the upper part of the tank above the water level. When a sufficient pressure has been reached the compressed air valve (5) is closed and the valve in the water pipe is opened. The turbine when rotates the output shaft (11).
