Abstract

L'invention concerne un robinet à obturateur sphérique. Le robinet 10 comprend un obturateur 13 muni sur chacune des ses moitiés opposées de surfaces d'étanchéité sphériques 13S décentrées par rapport au point de pivotement de l'obturateur, respectivement à droite et à gauche de ce point de sorte que ces surfaces se déplacent sur un arc excentrique lorsque l'obturateur 13, qui est monté sur des tourillons 13B, 13T, est déplacé en rotation. Les surfaces sphériques 13S coopèrent avec des dispositifs d'étanchéité respectifs 14 qui comprennent chacun un élément d'étanchéité primaire statique et un élément d'étanchéité secondaire dynamique sensible à la pression de la ligne amont pour déplacer l'élément d'étanchéité primaire en appui étanche contre l'obturateur. L'invention est applicable, notamment, aux robinets utilisés dans des applications cryogéniques et haute pression.
