Abstract

The system coats and/or chemically treats bulb-type seed crops, particularly seed potatoes. The potatoes etc. are dipped one or more times in rubber or plastic foam, impregnated with the coating or treatment material. This material can first be sprayed on them, there being a belt and a roller forming the feed mechanism, treatment and discharge mechanism. Continuous rubber or plastic foam layers are provided on roller or belt, at which there is aimed a spray head to deliver the material. Roller and belt can be tangential, each having a layer (4) of foam material, and there can be two rollers, one behind the other, running against the belt and parallel to each other.
