Abstract
La présente invention se rapporte à la décomposition catalytique d'un ou plusieurs oxydes d'azote dans un courant gazeux. Selon la présente invention l'oxyde ou les oxydes d'azote présentes dans un courant gazeux sont mis en contact avec un catalyseur de la formule Ax B y dans laquelle A est choisi dans le groupe comprenant Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Ci, Mo, W, Th et U, B choisi dans le groupe comprenant B, C, N et Si, x ayant une valeur 1 =< x =< 7 et y a une valeur 1 =< y =< 4. Les catalyseurs selon la présente invention peuvent être utilisés sur un support, par exemple un substrat métallique ou un substrat en ceramique, qui peut être muni ou non d'un revêtement d'un oxyde de métal réfractaire catalytiquement actif ayant une surface élevée.
