Abstract

Le piston à fond 1 et jupe 2 est muni d'une pièce encastrée 6, ou armature, dont le métal constitutif a un coefficient de dilatation thermique inférieur à celui de la jupe, et qui s'étend au-dessous de la gorge inférieure 5 en partie vers le bas de la jupe, la partie 8 de paroi de celle-ci, située à l'intérieur de l'armature, se terminant au-dessus du bord inférieur de celle-ci. Ce dispositif limite la dilatation thermique des surfaces de portée des efforts exercés sur la jupe en fonctionnement du piston dans un moteur à combustion interne.
