Abstract

The vehicle sun roof opening device has a rigid bar (3) fixed to one end of two arms (4). These arms are joined by a stray (5), and hinged by joints (7). When the roof is closed it is locked by two springs fixed by eyelets in the sun shield fixings. A hand grip serves to lock, via push buttons, the roof in any position between open and closed. The arms may be hinged by rivets engaged through the bases of U-shaped brackets with flanges screwed to the sun roof surround.
