Abstract

The reversible plough has each pair of mouldboards associated with a single clod-crusher unit positioned immediately behind. The clod-crusher unit is supported by an arm pivot mounted directly on the beam, on an axle which is horizontal and at right angles to the direction of travel. The soil is thus worked as it is turned before it is compacted and dries naturally. The rate of humidification and the plasticity of the soil helps it to break up easily and for the clods to be slightly compacted whilst at the same time retaining max. ventilation.
