Abstract

The needle is used in acupuncture, for persons or animals, and has an active portion or length which is inserted under the skin of the patient. this active length is made from two or more different metals, each of these being either a pure metal or an alloy. The inactive part forms the sleeve or shank of the needle and is not inserted under the skin. It is designed to give an instantaneous contact with a fine conductive wire, which may be either a conductor or a semi-conductor, or a dielectric or an insulant, such as a polymeric plastic.
