Abstract

Each module has a level selector which supplies a binary signal to one of a number of output conductors, corresponding to the analogue signal supplied to its input. The output conductors are supplied to a converter circuit, which has a single output providing an analogue signal whose amplitude corresponds to the digital value appearing on the conductors. The converter output is connected to a differential amplifier also receiving the input analogue signal and supplying the next module. A digital display unit is connected to the output conductors of the level selector which displays the first significant number, the successive display unit displaying the next significant number.
