Abstract

The housing travels across the warp and has an upwardly projecting clamp for the old and new threads, holding a row of stem parallel to each other. Transverse rods have thread abutments which bunch up the threads, and the rods are rotated by a hand wheel to release one old and one new thread at a time into the path of a drawing-in hook. A feeler determines the presence of the two threads, and a thread cutter cuts the ends of the threads while the drawing -in hook picks up the threads and carries them to the knotter. The free ends from the knot are then cut off, the cut portions falling into a collector on the housing.
