Abstract

Pregnane derivs. of gen. formula (I): (where R is H, acyl radical of satd., C2-6, aliphatic linear or branched, carboxylic acid, opt. substd. by a free (COOH) or esterified (COOA where A is alkali metal or ammonium) carboxyl gp. The carboxyl gp. is separated from the acyl CO gp. by at least 2C-atoms). Pref. cpd. prepd. by acetylisation of acrolein and fluoro-9-tetra-hydroxy-11 beta, 16 alpha, 17, 21-pregnadiene-1,4-dione-3,20 in presence of acid catalyst and esterifying with acid anhydride. Cpds. used as antiinflammatory, thymolytic and glycogenic agents.
