Abstract

In the mfr. on a long sieve machine of a paper web from an aq. slurry contg. a cellulose mixture if necessary, wood pulp and the usual additives, and synthetic fibres of length >=5mm, chopped monofil of dia. >=0.06 mm is used as the synthetic fibre. This enables a paper of three dimensionally structured surface to be produced without exhibiting the usual tendency to from twisted tufts found with papers incorporating very fine synthetic fibres. A wide range of papers and boards e.g. wall paper, visiting cards, good wishes cards, decorative cartons, lampshades, sunshades etc. can be obtd.
