Abstract

Determination of the intracellular distribution of cytoplasmic, chromosomal and nucleolar ribonucleic acids is effected by treatment of fixed sections stained with a thionine dye in 0.005-0.01% aqs. alcoholic buffer with MeOH contg. 0.8 vol.% HCl then with a 0.5-1.0% aqs. alcoholic acetouranyl soln. The thionine dye is pref. o-toluidine blue.
