Abstract

Pipe straightening machine comprises push-in and pull out sections, between which are disposed pillars to which are attached two housings, each fitted with radially disposed pegs mounted in bushes, the rolls being attached to the inwards facing ends of the pegs. The pegs with the rolls in each housing can be radially displaced in unison by suitable gears. Also the pegs are fitted with gear wheels, which are engaged with a common gear wheel in each housing for rotating the rolls round the workpiece. The transmission for the housings are fitted inside the pillars, which are connected to a common drive shaft. The pillars carrying the housings can be displaced in the direction of travel of the workpiece material.
