Abstract

Culture of micro organisms is carried out in the presence of a gas containing free oxygen by a fermentation in a multi-phase nutritive liquid medium containing nitrogen and carbon, the fermentation being effected by circulating the medium in an apparatus under the influence of a finely divided air flow and a distribution system.
