Abstract
SELF-CRIMPING TWO-COMPONENT POLYAMIDE FIBRE. M2A. Contains (A) polyhexamethylene diamine adipamide and (B) a copolyamide prepared from hexamethylene diammonium adipate and 5 to 20% (based on weight of (B)) of an amide of a C6-12 diacid and a diamine chosen from in which m is 1 to 4; n,n' are 0 to 4; R1 is H, CH3 or C2H5; R1 is R1 or cyclohexyl; p is 1 to 6. The fibres are produced by a co-extrusion of the two components. Since they have different shrinkages a crimp is developed on heating the drawn fibres. Used for cloth, carpets and especially stockings.
