Abstract

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for heat treatment of wooden articles 1. According to the method, the wooden article 1 is firstly placed in a drier 2 whereby a drying step is performed on the wooden article 1, following which the wooden article 1 is placed in a heat treatment space 3, and a step of constant temperature of the wooden article 1 is performed. Subsequently, a step of lowering the temperature of the wooden article 1 is performed, following which the wooden article 1 is removed from the heat treatment space 3. In the method, a heat treatment space 3 is utilised, in which the drier 2 is integrated in such a way that the heat treatment space 3 is divided into a drier 2, a compartment for keeping the temperature 4 and a compartment for cooling 5. <IMAGE>
