Abstract

An intermediate piece (12,17) is radially slidable in relation to the sword fixture (13) and provided with a fastening device for a saw sword (11). A gas spring (15,16) activates the intermediate piece with a force in the slide direction of the piece and which in a first end (16) is provided with a press button which blocks length alterations of the gas spring when depressed. The first end is inserted in a casing (18) joined to the sword fixture and the second end is connected to the intermediate piece. Force is transmitted between the gas spring and the casing by a tensioned spring. The press button on compression of the tensioned spring can support against the inside of an outer button (19) movable in the casing, so placed that the outer button when the saw sword is in an inactive starting position supports against a fixed stop (20), is pressed inwards and activates the press button.
