Abstract

The invention concerns a ventilation ceiling 1 intended especially for large-scale kitchens or similar spaces 2 that require ventilation. The ventilation ceiling 1 includes an exhaust ceiling area 8, one or more air distributors 5, 5a, 5b to supply fresh air in a room 2 and an exhaust device 7 to withdraw foul air from the room. The air distributors 5, 5a, 5b and exhaust device 7 are adapted in conjunction with the exhaust ceiling 8. According to the invention, the exhaust ceiling area 8 is a basin-like area arranged in the ceiling 4 of the room and the air distributor 5 is an air distributor with low air flow rate whose air distribution surface 5c lie at a lower level than the suction opening 7b in the exhaust channel 7a of the exhaust device 7, the air distributors 5, 5a, 5b being arranged at least on two opposite sides 8a, 8b of the exhaust ceiling area 8. <IMAGE>
