Abstract

The device transports timber pieces (15) by a second length transporter (30) and a cross transporter (40). The timber pieces are further moved to a station for further processing. If required, by adjustment of a control unit (50) the single-sided end trimmed timber pieces can be directed to an elevator (70) arranged parallel to the third transporter. The elevator temporarily replaces the third transporter for further movement of the pieces to the station for further processing.
