Abstract

A lifting device for lifting and moving an object, the device comprising a vertically aligned frame 1, resting on the upper end of which is a transverse support 2, vices 4 supported on the bottom end of the frame and moveable on slides 3 in a horizontal direction, for displacement under the object that is to be lifted, a flap mechanism 5 supported on the upper end of the frame for supporting the object that is to be lifted from above, and a hydraulic cylinder 6 for operation of the vices and the tilting mechanism. The flap mechanism comprises a lever 7, supported on the frame or the support, at the other end of which lever is the flap 8 resting on the load. The hydraulic cylinder is aligned essentially vertically thereto and is supported at its upper end on the lever and at its lower end on a turning arrangement 9 connected to the vices for actuating the flap and the vices by means of the same hydraulic cylinder. <IMAGE>
