Abstract

A liquid package such as a liquid pouch (1) including a dispensing nozzle (2) attached to the surface of the packaging material, whereby on the interior side of the package, at said dispensing nozzle, remains a portion of the packaging material which portion prior to the opening of the liquid package is intact and is torn open in conjunction with the opening of the package. The invention is implemented so that for the purpose of making said opening, the interior wall of the packaging material, at the dispensing nozzle area (2), is provided with a material strength weakening pattern (3) made on the material essentially so as to form a shape identical to that of the desired opening, however, not so as to let the embossed pattern extend through the material at any point.
