Abstract

The invention concerns a satellite antenna system for speech communication in particular intended for a mobile land station, which includes an antenna unit 1 that can be directed toward the satellite in the azimuthal plane. According to the invention the antenna unit 1 has two antenna elements 14, 15 and a ground plate 16, which element is formed of a circular arc-shaped flat conducting plate and terminated with a weight, said antenna elements being rotated at a 180 degree angle relative to each other and arranged at a distance from each other at a standard distance from the ground plate. Circularly polarized electromagnetic radiation is received and sent by means of the antenna unit. <IMAGE>
