Abstract

The invention relates to a plant for production of metal items, which plant comprises a casting device and a machining device for castings, which essentially interacts with the said casting device. According to the invention, the essentially continuous-working casting device 2,11,21 is connected to a continuous-working extrusion device 3,12,22, so that a casting 7,13,25 produced with the continuous casting device 2,11,21 can be conducted to the extrusion device 3,12,22, which extrusion device enables single-pass, high-precision machining without cooling and/or machining between the casting device and the extrusion device. <IMAGE>
