Abstract

The invention concerns a hanger for an insulated overhead power line comprising a body part 3 mounted in electrical contact with the conductor 1 and at least one part 7 connected to the body part 3 and acting as an arc shield. To achieve an arc-protected hanger which is simple to construct, the hanger according to the invention is characterized in that its body part 3 comprises a loop 6 which is attached to the conductor 1 in two places by connectors 4, of which at least one is connected to the abovementioned arc shield part 7. <IMAGE>
