Abstract

The invention concerns a window bolt which comprises a frame part 2 fitted in a window arch 1 or equivalent, with an opening 3 for the handle 4 shaft, a bolt device 5 which can be turned by the handle 4 between a position where it is swung into the window arch 1 and which enables the window to be opened, and a position projecting beyond the edge of the window arch 1 which locks the window. There is also a stop device for limiting the movement of the bolt 5 when it is turned to the said position within the arch 1 and to the said locking position. According to the invention, the device which limits the movement of the bolt device 5 in the locking position comprises a component 9;13 which can be fixed on either side of the opening 3 for the handle shaft 4, depending on whether the window opens to the right or to the left. <IMAGE>
