Abstract

In a polygonal, in particular rectangular, folding frame for display panels or similar consisting of a plurality of straight slat sections, each slat section consisting of a pair of rear and front profiled strips that are articulatedly connected to one another via mutually complementary hinge parts and springs, the springs being inserted between the rear and front profiled strips in a manner pretensioned in such a way that in conjunction with a snap action of the springs the front profiled strips can be swivelled with respect to the rear profiled strip between a closed position for clamping the display panels and an open position for replacing the display panels, the springs are constructed as flat wire springs and inserted between the rear and front profiled strips in such a way that, in their bending plane, they deflect axially parallel to the alignment of the slat sections. This leads to a folding frame that is easy to assemble and, because of the basic principle, manages with springs that are relatively simply configured. <IMAGE>
