Abstract

The present invention concerns a system for the insulation of tunnels, rock chambers and similar mine installations, whereby a drainage layer 3 and a water- tight membrane 4 are installed next to the rock 1, or outside a reinforcement layer 2 laid onto the rock, so that they follow the contours of the rock or the reinforcement layer. The insulation system will reduce the risk, inter alia, of the water freezing and forming ice in the mine works. Outside the watertight membrane 4 is a thermal insulation 6 to counteract frost, and a fire- prevention insulation 7 is installed outside the said thermal insulation 6. The invention also presents a procedure for implementing the system. <IMAGE>
