Abstract

A circular saw head for sawing off side material from tree trunks by means of an inner circular saw cutter 1 and an outer circular saw cutter 7 placed at a distance apart. An inner circular saw cutter 1 is placed on the end side of a face mill 2. The outer circular saw cutter is placed on the end side of an inner mill 8, which inner mill is axially displaceable within the face mill 2, so that the mutual spacing of the circular saw cutters 1, 7 can be altered. The mills 2, 8 mill the longitudinal edges of the side material which has been sawn off from the log by the circular saw cutters 1, 7. <IMAGE>
