Claims (3)
1. Diafragmacell med ett flertal avdelningar, för framställning av klor och alkalimetallhydroxid genom elektrolys av en vattenlösning av en alkalimetall-klorid, vilken cell omfattar ätminstone en tväpolig elektrod, som är anordnad mellan en ändanod (12) och en ändkatod (13) för bildande av ätminstone tva enhets-elektrolysceller, anordnade i serie, varvid varje tväpoliga elektrod är en enhet, som omfattar (a) en anod, bestäende av en skiva (1) av en anodmetall, företrädes-vis titan, vars ena yta uppvisar en beläggning (20) vilken bestär av ett verksamt elektrodmaterial, företrädesvis platinametall och/eller en oxid av platinametall och vilken är strömförande ansluten utmed ett betydande omräde av sin motsatta yta till en skiva (2) av järn eller stäl, och (b) en katod, bestäende av en perforerad skiva (9) av järn eller stäl, vilken företrädesvis bestar av ett vävt nät och vilken ligger parallellt med nämnda järn- eller stälskiva (2) och pä ett avständ frän densamma, men elektriskt ansluten tili den, varvid det mellan skivan (2) och den perforerade skivan bildas en katodlösningsavdelning, varvid ändkatoden bestär av en perforerad järn- eller stälskiva (25), som bildar ändkatodlädans ena vägg medan järnskivan (13) fungerar som ändvägg och som ligger mittemot den tvä-poliga enheten, varvid det i de tväpoliga enheternas katodlösningsavdelningar och i ändkatodlädan finns ett utlopp (10, 23) för gaser och ett utlopp för vätskor (11 , 2l+), varvid ändanoden (12) bestär av en skiva av en anodmetall, företrädesvis titan, vars ena yta uppvisar en beläggning, vilken bestär av ett verksamt elektrodmaterial, företrädesvis platinametall och/eller en oxid av platinametall, varvid ändkatoden, de tväpoliga enheterna och ändanoden är anordnade i serie sä, att varje perforerad katodskiva är parallell med den belagda anodytan hos en intill-liggande tväpolig elektrod, men elektriskt isolerad och pä ett ringa avständ frän den, varvid ett poröst membran (15) är anordnat mellan varje katod och ytan hos en intilliggande belagd anodyta, varvid det mellan membranet (15) och den belagda anodytan bildas en anodlösningsavdelning, och varvid det i varje anodlösningsav-delning finns ett inlopp (5, 21) för elektrolyten och ett utlopp (6, 22) för vätskor och/eller gaser, kännetecknad därav, att anodmetallskivan i varje tväpolig enhet uppvisar kanaler (3) utmed skivans hela omkrets pä motsatta sidan om katodskivan i samma enhet, varvid kanalerna stär i förbindelse med den anodlösningsavdelning, som ligger intill den intilliggande enhetens perforerade katodskiva.
2. Diafragmacell enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknad därav, att nämnda kanaler (3) formats genom vikning av anodmetallskivans kanter.
3. Diafragmacell enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknad därav, att anodmetallskivorna är rektangulära, att det i den pä ena kanten befintliga kanalen (3) finns ätminstone ett utlopp (6, 22) för vätskor och/eller gaser och att den pä motsatta kanten befintliga kanalen uppvisar ätminstone ett inlopp (5, 21) för elektrolyten .
