Abstract

Amethod is provided where a first policy control decision is generated (3-61) in a visited network (PCRF1), and a second policy control decision is generated (3-62) in a home network (PCRF2). The visited network (PCRF1) receives the second policy control decision and compares (3-7b) the first policy control decision and the second policy control decision. If they are not in line with each other, the visited network (PCRF1) indicates (3-7c) to the home network (PCRF2) that the first policy control decision and the second policy control decision are not in line with each other. In response to that, information on a policy requirement of the home network (PCRF2) is provided (3-7d) to the visited network (PCRF1). On the basis of the first policy control decision and the policy requirement, the visited network (PCRF1) generates (3-7e) a negotiated policy control decision to be used for a user terminal.
