Abstract
Tässä julkaisussa on kuvattu nelitahtisen V-moottorin sytytysjärjestelmä, jossa tahdit on koordinoitu kaikkien sylinteriparien suhteen siten, ettei päällekkäisyyttä esiinny. Tämä tarkoittaa käytännössä sitä, että A-ryhmällä alkavaa työtahtia seuraa, samalla sylinteriparilla, B-ryhmällä alkava imutahti. Täten tehollista painetta välittyy yhdelle kammelle ainoastaan yhdeltä kiertokangelta kerrallaan. Ratkaisu on aikaansaatu siirtymällä A-ryhmältä erille, rinnakkaiselle kammelle B-ryhmällä, ja takaisin A-ryhmälle erille kammelle kampiakselitaitoksen (8) avulla. Ratkaisun avulla pyritään saavuttamaan minimaaliset mekaaniset ja termiset rasitukset, optimaalinen moottoribalanssi, vakiopaineinen virtaus, sekä hieman parempi hyötysuhde ja merkittävästi matalammat herätteet.
