Abstract

Keksintö koskee menetelmää ja laitteistoa, joiden avulla hajautettu tietokanta ja sitä hyödyntävä sovellus ovat käytettävissä riippumatta päätelaitteesta tai päätelaitteen tyypistä. Keksinnön mukaisessa menetelmässä hajautetun tietokannan (303, 305, 403, 405, 407) tietoja käytetään päätelaitteessa (301, 401) siten, että paikallista tietokantaa (303, 403) käsitellään hallintayksikön (306, 406) avulla. Paikallisesta tietokannasta (303, 403) saadut hakutulokset välitetään hallintayksikön (306, 406) kautta päätelaitteessa (301, 401) olevalle selainohjelmalle (302, 402). Päätelaitteen (301, 401) selainohjelman (302, 402) avulla hakutulokset esitetään käyttäjälle.
