Abstract

The invention concerns an arrangement and a method for measuring the quantity of a fluid in an uneven flow. The arrangement comprises a housing 1, in which is arranged an inlet connection 7 and an outlet connection 8 for the liquid being measured. The inside of the housing 1 is divided by a midplane 6 into an upper inlet chamber 20, where said inlet connection 7 emerges, and a lower outlet chamber 21, where the outlet connection 8 emerges. In the inlet chamber 20, by means of partition walls 11 arranged on the upper side of the midplane 6, which are essentially lower than the height of the inlet chamber, there are formed two compartments A, B, C, both of which A, B, C have an opening element 9, through which the flowing liquid flows through the compartments A, B, C of the inlet chamber 20 a certain quantity per unit of time, l/min. Each compartment A, B, C has a sensor 10 for this, by means of which the dwell time of the liquid in each chamber A, B, C can be detected. For this, the arrangement has elements for determining the total quantity of liquid flowing through the arrangement on the basis of the data put out by the sensors as to the dwell time of the liquid and a known flow volume per unit of time through the opening elements 9. <IMAGE>
