LA MUESTRA A INVESTIGAR SE INCUBA, DURANTE UN TIEMPO ENTRE 5 Y 120 MINUTOS, A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 4 Y 40JC Y UN PH COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 5 Y 8,5, CON UNO O VARIOS ANTICUERPOS MONOCLONALES DIRIGIDOS CONTRA LA HORMONA (LH). LOS ANTICUERPOS REACCIONAN DE MODO CRUZADO EN MENOS DE 3% CON OTRAS HORMONAS GLICOPROTEINICAS. LA CANTIDAD DE LH CONTENIDA EN LA MUESTRA SE DETERMINA POR TRATAMIENTO ULTERIOR DE LA SOLUCION DE INCUBACION POR UN METODO DE INMUNOANALISIS USUAL, ES DECIR, CON AYUDA DE UN MARCADOR APROPIADO: RADIOISOTOPO, ENZIMA, GRUPOS FLUORESCENTES, ETC.
