Abstract
The compsn. is made by (a) heating a paste of 10-50wt.% water, 3-30% anionic or non-ionic synthetic surfactant and 15-70% organic or inorganic co-adjuvant e.g. water-soluble amino-polyacetates, inorganic salts of alkali metals, etc., at 60-80 deg.C for 10-60 mins. (b) spray drying the paste to form granules and (c) incorporating 1-25wt.% of sepiolite or desepiolite mineral, pref. contg. 50-70% desepiolite and 30-50% smectite, the mixt. having a cation exchange capacity of 10-25 meq/100g. Mixing is carried out in dry state in a mechanical mixer for 2-15 mins.
