Abstract

The carburettor for an ic-engine has an accelerator pump. This has a variable volume chamber (3) connected to a constant level float bowl by a feed conduit with a control valve (6). This is connected to the section of the air inlet in front of the throttle, controlled by a return duct (7). The pump has a plunger moving in a chamber connected with the float valve via regulators (22) which are actuated by the vehicle choke control.
