PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA TRANSFORMACION DE SALES ALCALINAS DE COMPUESTOS OXIGENADOS DE AZUFRE EN LOS SULFUROS DE METALES ALCALINOS CORRESPONDIENTES. CONSISTE EN MEZCLAR LA SAL OXIGENADA DE AZUFRE Y UN AGENTE REDUCTOR DE TIPO CARBONOSO EN UN REACTOR EN EL QUE SE PUEDE SOMETER A LA ACCION DE UNA FUERZA CENTRIFUGA. CALENTAR LA MEZCLA HASTA FUSION DEL COMPUESTO DE AZUFRE, DEJANDO QUE REACCIONE CON EL REDUCTOR. HACER FLUIR A TRAVES DE LA ZONA DE REACCION, MEDIANTE UNA CORRIENTE DE GAS, MEZCLA DE COMPUESTO DE AZUFRE Y AGENTE REDUCTOR, RECUPERANDO EL SULFURO A PARTIR DE LA MASA FUNDIDA QUE SALE DE LA ZONA DE REACCION. ESTOS SULFUROS TIENEN APLICACIONES PARA LA OBTENCION DE AZUFRE Y ACIDO SULFURICO Y COMO PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO EN LOS PROCESOS DE DESULFURACION.
