Abstract

Rectangular shaped standard foundations (12, 12') are proved in the deck of a ship's hull, with the larger of the different sized rectangular standard foundations (12'), which are at least two in number, having a width which is the same as the length of the smaller standard foundation (12). In this manner a platform (16) which fits exactly into the smaller standard foundation (12) can also be arranged transversely in the larger standard foundation (12'). The foundations (12, 12') surround hatch-like openings and support platforms (16, 16') carrying direction-finding apparatus (34) or guns (33, 35) of different sizes. Associated electronic apparatus can be fastened to the lower sides of the platforms (16, 16').
