Abstract

PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA DESCONTAMINACION DE SUPERFICIES CONTAMINADAS CON MATERIALES RADIACTIVOS, EN PARTICULAR SUPERFICIES REFRIGERANTES DE REACTORES NUCLEARES. CONSISTE EN PREPARAR UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE REACTIVO DESCONTAMINANTE Y HACERLA CIRCULAR EN CONTACTO CON LAS SUPERFICIES QUE ESTAN SIENDO DESCONTAMINADAS, EN PRESENCIA DE RADIACIONES IONIZANTES. A LA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE REACTIVO SE LE AÑADE ACIDO FORMICO, MANTENIENDO UNA CONCENTRACION MINIMA, EN SOLUCION, DE APROXIMADAMENTE UN 0,03% EN PESO. EL DISOLVENTE DEL REACTIVO ES AGUA LIGERA O AGUA PESADA, A LA QUE SE LE AÑADE UNA CANTIDAD PREDETERMINADA DE BORO.
