CONSISTE EN DERIVAR UN ALMIDON DERIVADO Y FLUIDIFICADO HASTA UN GRADO DE SUBSTITUCION DEL ORDEN DE UNOS 0,05 A UNOS 0,4 Y FLUIDIFICAR DICHO ALMIDON HASTA UNA VISCOSIDAD INTRINSICA DE UNOS 0,12 A UNOS 0,28 DL/G MIENTRAS SE MANTIENE EL ALMIDON EN FORMA GRANULAR DESPUES DE LA ETAPA DE DERIVACION. A CONTINUACION DE DERIVAR EL ALMIDON SE FLUIDIZA POR MEDIOS ENZIMATICOS. EL SUBSTITUYENTE SE ELIGE ENTRE EL GRUPO FORMADO POR ACETILO, HIDROXIETILO Y DIETILAMINOETILO. EL ALMIDON PUEDE FLUIDIZARSE POR MEDIOS QUIMICOS TALES COMO HIDROLISIS ACIDA A LO QUE SIGUE DERIVACION MIENTRAS SE MANTIENE EL ALMIDON EN FORMA GRANULAR.
