METODO DE OBTENCION DE VIDRIERAS CUYOS ESPECTROS DE TRANSMISION, O DE REFLEXION, PUEDEN SER DOMINADOS TANTO EN EL SECTOR DE LONGITUDES DE ONDAS VISIBLES COMO EN EL DE LOS INFRARROJOS. CONSISTENTE EN REVESTIR UN SUSTRATO TRANSPARENTE POR, AL MENOS, UNA CAPA REFLECTANTE DE UN METAL O UNA ALEACION, CARACTERIZANDOSE LA VIDRIERA PORQUE LA CAPA REFLECTANTE SE REVISTE A SU VEZ POR UNA CAPA SUPERFICIAL DE UN OXIDO MIXTO DE CADMIO Y DE ESTAÑO. LA CAPA REFLECTANTE PUEDE DEPOSITARSE EN UNA PRIMERA FASE DIRECTAMENTE SOBRE EL SUSTRATO TRANSPARENTE O, DE MANERA YA CONOCIDA, SOBRE UNA CAPA DE ANCLAJE, SIENDO ESTA PREFERENTEMENTE DE LA MISMA NATURALEZA QUE LA CAPA SUPERFICIAL. EL ESPESOR DE LA CAPA DE ANCLAJE VARIA ENTRE UN DECENA DE ANGSTROMS EN EL CASO DE VIDRIERAS MUY TRANSPARENTES Y VARIAS CENTENAS DE ANGSTROMS EN EL CASO DE VIDRIERAS CALIENTES.
