CONSISTE EN AGREGAR A LA SUSPENSION, ANTES DE LA OPERACION DE DESECACION, DE 0,1 A 6 LITROS DE POLIMERO ACTIVO POR TONELADA CORTA SECA DE PIGMENTO (0,05 A 3 KG/TM) DE UN COPOLIMERO CATIONICO, SOLUBLE EN AGUA, CON UN PESO MOLECULAR ENTRE 20.000 Y 1.000.000. SE VUELVE A FORMAR UNA SUSPENSION ACUOSA DE DICHO PIGMENTO POR ADICION DE AGUA A LA TORTA DEL FILTRO Y DE 4 A 10 LIBRAS DE POLIMERO ACTIVO POR TONELADA CORTA SECA DE PIGMENTO (2 A 20 KG/TM). EL POLIMERO ES UN HOMOPOLIMERO DE CLORURO DE DIALILDIMETILAMONIO.
