PROCEDIMIENTO DE OBTENCION DE 4-ARALQUIL-1,4-DIHIDROPIRIDINAS. CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR UN ALDEHIDO DE FORMULA GENERAL (I) CON AMONIACO O BIEN CON ACETOACETATO (II) O CON UN ENAMINO ESTER (III). OPCIONALMENTE SE PUEDE HACER REACCIONAR EL COMPUESTO ILIDENO (IV) CON UN AMINO ESTER (III) EN UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO. SE OBTIENE EL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA GENERAL (V), EN QUE R1 Y R2 SIGNIFICAN UN RESTO ALQUILO; R3 SIGNIFICA HIDROGENO, METILO O UN RESTO FENILO; R4 ES UN RESTO FENILO O METOXI.
