SE SOMETE LA SOLUCION A UNA DIFERENCIA DE POTENCIAL DE 4 A10 VOLTIOS, EN UNA CELULA DE ELECTRODIALISIS QUE COMPRENDE TRES COMPARTIMENTOS SEPARADOS POR MENBRANAS PERMESELECTIVAS CATIONICAS, CONTENIENDO EL COMPARTIMENTO ANODICO UNA SOLUCION DE ACIDO FUERTE; EL CATIONICO, UNA SOLUCION DE SOSA O POTASA, Y EL COMPARTIMENTO INTERMEDIO, LA SOLUCION DE MTIONINATO. LA MEZCLA RESULTANTE EN EL COMPRTIMENTO CENTRAL SE EXTRAE Y SE REFRIGERA. SE SEPARA EL PRODUCTO FINAL POR FILTRACION.
